Matthew 25 Resource 2/22/10-Bridgeport (CT) Rescue Mission

Bridgeport Rescue Mission demonstrates the love of God to hungry, homeless and addicted people throughout Fairfield County, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We fight poverty from the inside out by providing a place of hope and dignity through a yearlong educational program, biblical counseling and case management. We are funded by compassionate individuals, churches, businesses, organizations.

Every day, here at Bridgeport Rescue Mission, we meet people whose lives are at stake. Some are at risk of succumbing to severe hunger and malnutrition. Others have fallen victim to alcohol and drugs, which are eating away at their bodies and minds. Still more are endangered by the cold and violence that threaten their lives on the streets.

Once they find their way to the Mission, we give them the food, shelter and medical care they need to heal their weak and weary bodies and gain strength for the road ahead . . . because their futures are still in jeopardy.
